Moving Out
(Moving out to another city) |
- ID of the person who submits the notification to the municipal office window (e.g. residence card, alien registration certificate, driver’s license)

- Tannan Card
- National Health Insurance Card or Elderly Insurance Claimant Certification
- Children’s Medical Insurance
- Nursing-care Insurance

- Moving-out should be notified in advance.
- A Moving-out Certificate will be issued free of charge. After moving in, the Certificate should be submitted to the new municipal office to complete the moving-in notification.
- If the head of household moves out, notify the municipal office of a new head.
※Moving-out notice using “Basic Resident Registration Card"
Before you move out, please apply for a special moving-out notification by mail or at the Citizen’s department of Echizen city hall. The special simplified procedure will be applied; you don’t need to get “Moving-out certificate”. Please submit a moving-in notice at your new municipal office bringing necessary documents with you. When you submit a moving-in notice, the “Basic Resident Registration Card” and PIN will be required. (Open hours: from 9時 to 4時半)

Moving In
(Moving in to Echizen city) |
- ID of the person who submits the notification to the municipal office window (e.g. residence card, alien registration certificate, driver’s license)
- Moving-out Certificate
- Residence cards or alien registration certificates of all the household members who are moving in
- Official documents with their Japanese translation to prove your relationship with the head of household (e.g. family register of your home country, birth certificate, marriage certificate)
*If the Moving-out Certificate proves the relationship, these official documents may not be necessary

- Notify within 14 days of moving to the new residence.
- The new address will be listed on the back of the residence card or the alien registration certificate.
- Without the Moving-out Certificate, a moving-in notice cannot be accepted. Please apply for a Moving-out Certificate at the municipal office of your previous residence or by post.
※Moving-in notice using “Basic Resident Registration Card”
If you have applied for a special moving-out notification, you don’t need to get “Moving-out Certificate”. Alternatively, please bring your “Basic Resident Registration Card” and all necessary documents listed on left if you have them.When you submit a moving-in notice, the “Basic Resident Registration Card” and PIN will be required. (Open hours: from 9時 to 4時半)

Moving Within
(Change of address within Echizen city) |
- ID of the person who submits the notification at the municipal office window (e.g. resident card, alien registration certificate, driver’s license)
- Residence cards or alien registration certificates of all the household members who are moving.
- Official documents with their Japanese translation to prove your relationship with the head of household (e.g. family register of your home country, birth certificate, marriage certificate)
*If the relationship can be proved, these official documents may not be necessary.
(Another person who has the following please bring these.)
- National Health Insurance Card or Elderly Insurance Claimant Certification
- Children’s Medical Insurance
- Nursing-care Insurance

When there are change of head of house, separation and/or merger of household
(When your head of house has changed or your family structure has changed)
